Benefits

This craft is brilliant to open a dialogue about the lifecycle of a caterpillar!
  1. Start by cutting out your leaf pattern. We did a few because more caterpillars are more fun!
  2. Using your hole punch, punch out a few holes around the edges of your leaf cut out. That way it can look like your caterpillar is happily munching on the tasty leaf.
  3. Using a green felt tip, draw a vein pattern on your leaf.

  7. Now it is time to make your caterpillars! You can use all of one colour, or mix it up. This is even a good time to practice patterns. Glue the poms poms side by side to form the caterpillar’s body. You can use all of one colour, or mix it up. You can make your caterpillar as long or short as you like.
  8. Can you add two eyes to each of your caterpillars?
  9. Now that your caterpillar is ready, its time to glue them onto your leaves!
