Benefits

A fabulous opportunity to learn about different trees and colours whilst taking in the benefits of being outdoors when collecting the leaves. Creating with natural objects offers an in depth advantage for children to investigate them up close and boost their curiosity and critical thinking.
  1. Collect leaves. Fallen or fresh should both work!
  2. For painting, choose your first leaf and turn it over so that you paint the surface with the bumpy veins on. Cover the whole area.
  3. Turn it over onto the paper and firmly press down on it for a few seconds.
  4. Slowly lift from one edge and have a look at your painted print!
  5. For crayon leaf printing, choose a leaf and place vein-side up underneath a piece of paper.
  6. Rub a crayon over the paper to reveal the print.
